چکیده

This study presents a response-spectral Ground Motion Model (GMM) for Israel, called KYB22 herein and derived with practical applications in mind. model is based on the former work by Maiti et al. (Bull Seismol Soc Am 111: 2177–2194, 2021), who suite of nine Fourier amplitude spectra GMMs, using both empirical data calibrated point-source simulations. In this study, weighted average 2021) FAS models computed synthetic database created. Next, converted to Response spectral domain random vibration theory new GMM regressed, constraining magnitude distance scaling data. Site represented VS30 combination other considerations which are discussed text. Nonlinear site response constrained from global model, as finite-fault effects, such hanging-wall, mechanism top rupture—which cannot be because it does not contain enough large State-wide hazard then KYB22, comparing results combinations. It found that obtained backbone comparable popular combinations GMMs logic tree. Therefore, we recommend one branches within ground-motion tree when conducting seismic calculations Israel.

2D analysis of earthquake ground motion in Haifa Bay, Israel

We study the earthquake response of the Zevulun Valley basin, underlying northern Israel‘s largest urban area with two-dimensional viscoelastic seismic modeling of a detailed geological section. We found that amplification of the horizontal vibrations, the ratio of basin to no-basin response spectra, correlates with basin depth. In the deepest portion of the basin (Qishon graben) long periods (...

Ground Motion Model for the Lhc

A ground motion model based on geo-physical arguments is presented. The purpose of this model is to predict possible beam separation in the interaction regions of the LHC due to ground motion developing in time spans in the order of seconds to hours. Although this model can also be used to predict statistical movement of accelerator objects on a larger time scale (yearly alignment) its usefulne...

Ground motion intensity measures for performance-based earthquake engineering

A critical issue in the probabilistic framework for performance-based earthquake engineering is the choice of ground motion intensity measure(s). In an effort to identify optimum intensity measure(s), a comprehensive parametric statistical study based on 881 earthquake record components was conducted to identify the correlation between (1) seismological variables (SV’s) and traditional ground m...

Ground Motion Model of the SLAC Site

We present a ground motion model for the SLAC site. This model is based on recent ground motion studies performed at SLAC as well as on historical data. The model includes wave-like, diffusive and systematic types of motion. An attempt is made to relate measurable secondary properties of the ground motion with more basic characteristics such as the layered geological structure of the surroundin...

Basic Motion Model of Autonomous Ground Vehicle

This paper deals with the basic design and implementation of the mathematical motion model of an autonomous unmanned ground vehicle. This model comes from the specific construction of the vehicle, which was designed in order to verify and demonstrate its autonomous motion possibilities indoors and outdoors. This article presents two different issues of the basic model: a) computing vehicle posi...
